Billed as one of Aberdeen's finest tourist attractions we decided that, since it wasn't actually raining when we set out, we would go there first and get some exercise.
The first place we came across was the grand ballroom
..next to which a game of cricket was being played
There was brief excitement as a couple of oil tankers and a windsurfer came into view
…. but despite the fun fair whirling merrily on, there weren’t too many hardy Scots braving the north sea summer breeze and drizzle.
